28/29 June Launch Event Page Issues

There’s currently issues with the 28/29 June launch event. The video is currently unavailable until further notice.

We’re currently working to resolve the issue and will post an update once the video is restored. We apologise for the inconvenience, as we understand this video is one that was anticipated for the 29 June release.

Beyond Update

With all the short films that I’ve been posting recently, some of you may be wondering what’s happening with Beyond, the new novel I revealed in 2010, and re-announced during December 2011, after going dark for an entire year.

Beyond is still being written. There’s not a day that doesn’t go by when I don’t write material for it, or at least think about the plot. I have the complete overview of the plot ready, and I’ve written almost half of the first draft.

Beyond will be released in 2012, but I don’t have a specific time-frame available. I hope to share more information regarding the plot and characters very soon.

Short Films Arriving 2012

For close to two years now, I’ve been publishing book content on here and various other websites. I see writing stories and books as more of a hobby. However, throughout my daily life, some of you may be aware that I’m also a filmmaker.

Next year, I’ll be opening a brand new section on the website dedicated specially for film. I’ll be posting a series of short films on a semi-regular basis, in addition to my novels.

The films will be of different genres, and they will either be written and/or directed by me. Some even tie in to the novels and stories that I have worked on.

Sharing more forms of entertainment and multimedia is an exciting prospect to tell diverse new stories in amazing different ways. I look forward to sharing and enjoying the films with you in the near future.

More information will be posted in 2012. To keep up to date, you can follow along on Twitter and Facebook.

Locations Of Beyond

A big part of Beyond’s story is where it’s set. The novel has two locations that are central to the main characters.

The first, is in present-day Britain, with the backdrop everyday-ness and real-world affairs. It’s here where our characters face their personal issues.

The second, is the fictional city of ‘Edge’, a darker, dangerous world where the obstacles are a matter of life and death and the consequences of their actions can be drastic.

How they travel to Edge is one of the true mysteries of this drama…

Progress Of Beyond

Earlier, I talked a little about the themes of Beyond. Usually, I would post a full synopsis and then discuss the themes at a later date. This time, I’ve done it a little differently.

At this current stage, there is no written, concrete synopsis, as Beyond is a title still in early stages. As a result, parts of the story may change. Since Beyond is a fantasy novel, many devices and parts of the universe are still being developed.

The first few chapters have been written in rough for Beyond, which establish the characters and set the stage for the rest of the story. The outline is also complete. I aim to release a synopsis early in the new year, followed by a preview chapter.

About Beyond

Since its début announcement, back in November 2010, I can finally talk about some of the themes in the upcoming novel, Beyond.

Beyond is a contempoary fantasy/sci-fi novel, that follows four characters linked together by a global phenomenon, in their search for truth.

The main characters of Beyond start as young adults, which ties into the theme of self-discovery, and finding your place in the world. Beyond is a story about confronting your inner-self and overcoming conflicts.

There is a mystery element to the story, and deals with the boundaries between fantasy and reality, and how those two worlds begin to blur together.

Beyond is still a work in progress, and will see a release soon. For updates – including a full synopsis in future – revisit this blog, or follow on Twitter and Facebook.
