Utopia For The Angel Renamed To New Dawn

As of 20 July 2010, ‘Utopia For The Angel’ has changed its title to, ‘Utopia For The Devil: New Dawn’.

The content of the novel has not changed. New Dawn will still be the promised sequel to the original Utopia For The Devil. The preview chapter that was released last month has been republished under the new title and is available from the Official New Dawn Page. The logo has also remained the same, with the exception of the subtitle.

The decision to change the title of the upcoming novel was not made lightly. However, as I reach the conclusion of New Dawn, the final message has changed slightly since when it was originally envisioned. Additionally, due to some new plot elements that have been added since the original title was announced, the older title is inappropriate and misleading.

The change in title shows that New Dawn is truly part of Utopia For The Devil’s universe, which the title of ‘Angel’ may suggest otherwise. It also allows greater flexibility for future instalments, as future novels can then be part of the ‘Utopia For The Devil series’.

Utopia For The Angel Consists Of Two Parts

The upcoming novel, Utopia For The Angel consists of two distinct parts. The narrative between the two parts flow consistently and are extremely related to one another in a similar fashion to how Utopia For The Devil is closely related to ‘Angel’.

Part One is primarily designed to introduce new readers into the world of Utopia For The Angel by reintroducing the characters and established plot started in Utopia For The Devil. Those who have read the predecessor will also find Part One of great interest.

Part Two is the ‘meat’ of the story. It is longer than Part One and is the original story that I have envisioned. It has the eponymous title of the actual novel, ’Part Two: Utopia For The Angel’ .

Utopia For The Angel Logo

The final logo for Utopia For The Angel has been revealed. This final logo will be used in the marketing and development of the upcoming novel. It will also be displayed on the cover of the book, and in related materials.

The concept of the logo is to introduce a circle. Everything in the world eventually comes full circle. The circle is not complete, and this is deliberate. It shows the feather is breaking out of the confinement of the circle, just in a similar manner that the characters in the book are breaking away from the confinements of Eden. The feather seems to be the appropriate choice due to the title of the book (which, like it’s predecessor, is completely metaphorical). The feather is lone, however, in a similar manner to how Leon is a lone character, as he is ‘outside the system’, so to speak.

Utopia For The Angel – Three Previews

Two weeks ago, a Preview Chapter for the upcoming Utopia For The Angel was released. This preview came from an early draft of the novel, that is still currently in the works.

I am pleased to reveal that two additional previews are planned for the remainder of the year. The first, released on the 11th June was just a taster, giving a brief glimpse into the new story and new direction of Utopia For The Angel.

I would also like to add, that I’m currently in the progress of writing the conclusion to the first draft of Utopia For The Angel.

Utopia For The Angel Preview – 11 June

On June 11 2010, a preview chapter of the awaited Utopia For The Angel will be released on the website. The upcoming sample chapter will give an exciting glimpse into the upcoming sequel to Utopia For The Devil; which was released earlier this year.

The preview chapter will be an entire chapter from an early draft of Utopia For The Angel. Some artwork related to the upcoming book will also be revealed.

Huge Utopia Project Upcoming

Just a heads-up that I’m currently not blogging as often due to a huge project that’s currently in progress. This project is related to the universe of Utopia For The Angel.

Whilst I do not wish to share details at the moment, I can say that the project is highly dyanmic, interactive, and will allow you to glimpse into the upcoming book…and beyond. This project will continue and advance the story in new and exciting ways. The industry and authors/artists alike have employed similar concepts before, but this project will take it a step further.
